After the Gold Rush Yurt is the newest edition to our glamping accommodation. It is a short walk from our other two yurts and is situated just up from the Dipping Shed. It boasts stunning views over it’s own pool which comes with a rowing boat! This beautiful structure is elevated up over the pool and has a decking area with ample seating where there is also a BBQ. A minutes walk there is also table tennis, a badminton set and kitchen and washroom facilities which are shared by all three yurts.
Buffalo Springfield Yurt
Buffalo Springfield and Crazy Horse Yurt are situated near each other and you can find them just up from the Dipping Shed on the outskirts of the Arboretum with stunning views over the lakes and rolling Shropshire hills. This beautiful structure is elevated on a grassy hill side next to a magnificent oak tree and outside there is a private decking area with ample seating. There is also a campfire, table tennis and badminton set which are shared by both yurts.
Crazy Horse Yurt
Crazy Horse Yurt and Buffalo Springfield Yurt are some of the newest editions to our glamping ‘Hidden Treasures’, they are near each other and are situated just off from the Dipping Shed and Arboretum with stunning views over the lakes and rolling Shropshire hills. This beautiful structure is elevated on a grassy hill side next to a magnificent oak tree. Outside there is a private decking with ample seating area and a gas BBQ. There is also a campfire, table tennis and badminton set which is shared by both yurts.
Whim cottage is a cosy double bed cottage style caravan situated in the Arboretum secluded in-between the Tipi and Fire Truck. Whim cottage is only suitable for more adventurous folk, it can only be accessed on foot, so sturdy footwear and a torch are essential! There is no running water or electricity. There is a long drop toilet available five minute walk from Whim cottage. We have also installed a shower in a genuine AA van.
The quirkiest of all our ‘Hidden Treasures’ is the Fire Truck! It is secluded in the Arboretum and only accessible on foot. This is glamping to the max! A stunning brass double bed surrounded by an eclectic mix of fabrics and furniture; old wine crates, lanterns and white wicker chairs make this a cosy romantic retreat.
Hidden in the Arboretum, amongst the splendid and ancient trees, the Gypsy Caravan has no electricity or running water and is only accessible on foot. It is ideal for the agile and adventurous wanting to get away from it all. The Gypsy Caravan is a cheerful Romany home with one double bed and a child’s bed hidden underneath. The living space has a cosy gas fire and a gas hob.
The Shepherd’s Hut is in a secluded spot in Walcot’s beautiful Arboretum and has just recently been redecorated. It has no electricity or running water. The Hut is an original Roadman’s Wagon with 1 cosy kingsize bed and 2 single bunks above which can fold out when required. The seating area in the living space can be used as an additional small bed.
Situated in the arboretum, with stunning views over the valley & the Longmynd this Showman’s Caravan is an authentic caravan which has been renovated and redesigned to suit people looking for a holiday with a difference. You can relax & enjoy the view from this special spot or toast some marshmallows on the camp fire as the night draws in.
Red Showman's Caravan
Situated within the Walcot Hall estate, there are two Showman’s caravans. Both are situated in the Arboretum. Please note this caravan does not have electricity but it does have a wood burning stove for heating and cooking. Bed linen is provided within the cost, however towels are not included. An initial water supply is provided, you will then need to carry your own water to top up the reserves during your stay.
