Walcot Hall Campsite and Caravan Park is the perfect venue for camping in Shropshire. Upon arrival in South Shropshire, the campsite is situated to the rear of The Powis Arms public house, at the entrance of the Walcot Hall drive. The camp site has 12 pitches for touring caravans each with electrical hook up and water and there is also additional space for tents. Facilities include heated amenity block with showers, toilets, washing machine, dryer and chemical disposal point. The pub is very friendly and serves restaurant and bar meals and the village shop is just a short walking distance away. There are also food shops and a petrol station in nearby Bishop’s Castle.
The camp site is managed by The Powis Arms pub and pitches can be booked in advance by contacting them on 01588 680254 or email email@example.com. Camping costs £5.00 per person per night and the cost of an electric hook-up is £10.00 per night. The tariff for touring caravans is £20.00 per pitch per night for two guests, including electric hook up and use of amenities. Additional guests are charged £5.00 per person per night, children under 5 are free and accompanied children between 5 and 16 years old are half price. Well behaved dogs are allowed on site.

Just 4 miles away is the quaint and beautiful market town of Bishop’s Castle which is renowned for its brilliant local beers and homemade food. Pubs such as the Three Tuns and The Six Bells are famous for their own brewed ales and The Castle Hotel has a fantastic beer garden with breathtaking views. Bishop’s Castle regularly holds events throughout the year which are great fun for all the family such as the annual Michaelmas Fair, Christmas Lights Festival, the traditional town Carnival, Party in the Park music event and the fantastic Real Ale Trail.
