Set within the stunning Shropshire countryside, this is a unique opportunity to explore a historic estate, enjoy breathtaking views, and support the charitable work of the National Garden Scheme.
Walcot Hall’s arboretum has a rich history, planted by Edward, son of Lord Clive of India, in 1800. Today, it remains a spectacular feature of the estate, offering a peaceful setting filled with mature trees and vibrant seasonal colour.
Wander through:
– Cascades of rhododendrons and azaleas
– Specimen trees and tranquil water pools
– Beautifully landscaped garden areas with relaxed borders and rare shrubs
The gardens have been carefully enhanced in recent years, including the replanting of lakeside areas and the restoration of a water garden at the western end.
As you explore, you’ll discover a wealth of unique and historic garden features, including:
– The walled kitchen garden, rich with traditional planting
– Historic structures such as the dovecote, meat safe, and ice house
– The impressive mile-long lakes with far-reaching views
– The charming Russian wooden church, grotto, and fountain
– A distinctive tin chapel tucked within the grounds

Please note that, as a historic estate, some areas include uneven terrain, so we recommend appropriate footwear and checking ahead if you have specific accessibility requirements.
