When the village of Norbury received a lottery grant for a new community hall, the original building found a second life at Walcot. Its original timber structure was carefully preserved, ensuring the spirit of gathering and connection lives on.
Today, the hall’s metal exterior has been replaced by cedar-lined walls, milled from fallen trees on the Walcot Estate itself. Step inside and you’re welcomed by the warm scent of timber, layered textiles, and a calm, cocooning atmosphere — a space rich in history yet beautifully refined.
Designed with comfort and connection at its heart, Norbury Hall features an inviting open-plan kitchen and living area, ideal for shared meals, relaxed evenings and slow mornings with coffee in hand.

Situated on the second floor of Walcot Hall, Montfort has two double bedrooms; Margaretta and George, and one twin room called Elizabeth. All of the rooms are filled with the history of the Hall.
This holiday cottage is within the old stable block and has high ceilings, grand windows and open plan layout with under-floor heating.
