Ram Baa Shepherd Hut is one of ten ‘Hidden Treasures’ and sits right in the middle of the arboretum, surrounded by beautiful trees and nature. The authentic Shepherd’s Hut is one cosy room with a double bed, bench seating, storage and a simple camping stove inside.
Ram-Baa does not have an indoor wood burning stove, if you are looking to book at the beginning or end of the season, please be aware that night nights can get chilly. We do provide hot water bottles, just in case!
Nearby are two secluded pools which truly are spectacular hidden gems waiting to be discovered. You can spend hours wandering around the Arboretum exploring. The Great Douglas Fir is a must, over 17ft wide and 100ft tall, it is a magnificent sight.
Bed linen is included at no extra cost, however, you will need to bring your own towels.
The hot shower and flushing loo are close by in a wooden clad cabin, (or there’s a compost loo closer for quick trips).
Please note our glamping accommodation is only suitable for the more agile and adventurous. Sturdy footwear and a torch are essential!
Walcot Hall’s hidden hideaways are glamping in the truest sense of the word! We are off-grid, so don’t expect to find electricity, but there are fairy lights and candles for when the night draws in. There are also hot showers and quirky flushing loos in the yurt field, as well as a small kitchen area with gas burner.
You are very welcome to bring your own BBQ.
If arriving after dark please bring a torch, as there are no lights in the arboretum. Wellies are also useful if it has been wet.
If you would like to bring a cool box for your food we have a communal freezer in the passageway by the Estate office, where you are welcome to refreeze your blocks.
The Shepherd’s Hut is in a private spot in Walcot’s beautiful Arboretum and has just recently been redecorated.
Situated within the Walcot Hall estate in our beautiful Arboretum, there are two Showman’s caravans.
Located in the yurt field alongside Crazy Horse and Buffalo Springfield Yurts this new yurt has its own private decking with wonderful views over the valley and village of Lydbury North.
Situated in the arboretum, with stunning views over Shropshire’s Longmynd this Showman’s Caravan is an authentic caravan which has been renovated and redesigned to suit people looking for a holiday with a difference.
