The 30 acres of grounds, including one of the finest arboretums in Britain, offer a wide variety of panoramas, floral displays and garden features including the extensive lake, walled courtyard, unusual statues and fountain.

With its turquoise freestanding ballroom, characterful accommodation and eclectic furnishings, it really is a feast for the eyes. The Ballroom can be hired for 48 house for an exclusive wedding reception and along with our accommodation, Walcot can be transformed into your own wedding village to make the most of your time with your close friends and family.

With no less than 13 self-catering holiday apartments and 9 Hidden Treasures dotted around the estate, Walcot certainly has a lot of offer. The apartments are housed in a variety of buildings, from the main house to the refurbished stable block to an old reconstructed Chapel in the arboretum, there is something for everyone. Ranging from 1 to 5 bedrooms, all the apartments are as cosy as you could wish for, thoughtfully furnished and with a classically comfortable feel. We are able to accommodate a variety of size groups from large family gatherings or walking parties to romantic getaways for two. All of the accommodation at Walcot Hall has been kitted out for a comfortable self catering break and most have wood-burning stoves and/or Agas. Some also have their own private patios or garden spaces.

You’re invited to treat the grounds as your own – take long strolls through the lush arboretum, indulge in a spot of seasonal foraging, and try fishing, horse riding and rowing on the lake. The Shropshire Hills are close and yours to discover. Come back home to a slow-cooked meal from the Aga, or treat yourself to a very good dinner out – nearby Ludlow hosts the most Michelin starred restaurants outside of London!
